I went to this store today because it seemed to be convenient for my trip. After entering the store, I was stalked through the aisles by a woman I later found out was a manager. finally she came up and asked me "what I was looking for", not 'can I help you' or anything near to courteous. I explained to her that I was looking for a dark spiced rum, Goddard's in particular. "Nope. We don't have that." Then she retreated to the front, only to come around an end isle and continue her stalking. I took the time to look over their poor selection of rums, which seems to be true for the entire store stock in any product line, and tried to decide what I wanted to buy. I made a count of my small bills, 5s and 1s, because I was hoping I wouldn't have to break a larger bill. This just seems courteous to me, as a shopper in any establishment. I looked over their selection and and had a hard time deciding, because the proof on the spiced rums was a bit higher that I remember Goddard's being. I did take a while, and I checked several labels, and then the manager came up to me in a rather menacing manner, just as I made my selection and was ready to go. She accused me of acting "obsessive" about how I was attending their stock, so I told her I had made my selection and was about to leave. She then continued to harass me, and asked me more than four times what I was doing, then suggested that my "obsessive behavior was acting weird", that I was probably on drugs, and proceeded to very offensively badger me to leave, and wouldn't give me any information when I asked to file a complaint. Last time I checked, it was still illegal to throw anyone out of a business, when sober and quite aware of surroundings, for harmless, "obsessive" behavior, especially since this type of behavior can accompany some disabilities. And why even move to the subject of drugs? What an ignorant prick. In her defense, I was wearing a _leather jacket_ (ooo), and I had a book bag which was entirely filled with books, papers and assignments. I can see it being appropriate for her to ask me to check the bag at the counter, but she did not, and neither did her lackeys who were also there to outnumber me three to one. So yes, service -- sucked. Bigotry -- present. Stalker quotient -- Maybe she was on drugs. How am I supposed to know?
